The RadioCentre is deeply commited to accessibility and as a matter of principle we believe everyone should be able to access The Big Listen website. We have made every effort to comply with the Web Accessibility Initiative were possible.
This site has been built to the latest web standards in an effort to seperate the content from the design. So that it will work on as many platforms as possible.
Text
All the text in this site has been created using reletive text sizes to allow users to control the size of the text. To change the size of the text, select your browsers 'View' option and then select the Text size' option.
Images
We have endeavoured to avoid using images rather than text were possible. Where images have been used they have been give suitable descriptions. We have also used a number of image replacement techniques which will hopefully allow users with screen readers to still access the text.
Colour and Contrast
We have provided a high contrast low graphics version to help those with any sight problems.
Keyboard access
This site has a number of keyboard short cuts built in to it to help non mouse users. In conjuction with 'Ctrl' + (for Mac users) and 'Alt' + (for PC users) the following is a list of active accesskeys:
h = Home
k = accessibility
s = Survey
1 = how
2 = tune in
3 = tell us
4 = high contrast
5 = normal view
